Holiday Beauty Make Up Kit

While packing for my holiday recently i was not going to be hauling all my usual big load of make up essentials (and there are alot) so i decided to do a holiday make up shop and here are the list of products and my review on them for any of you heading off and wondering what to bring to keep you uber beautiful for your hols. Im going to be spreading it out over the next few days talking about different products in detail so im going to start off with hydration.

1. First of all i had forgotton how much life and moisture the flight sucks out of your skin and one major tip whatever you do please do not wear make up on the plane all it does is cake onto your skin and looks like crap you will feel and look ten times better without it.  Layer your skin before the flight with not only a moisturiser but a serum aswell.  I love the Sephora serum - Ultimate Moisture Serum and found it a godsend this time and it really works.  I topped it with sephora Instant Moisturizer.  Really loving these at the moment. I have tried alot of products over the years and for instant hydration and something that works straight away this really ticks all the boxes.  Im also using the Sephora Collection Supreme Cleansing Foam which you apply on dry skin and rinse off with luke warm water.  This does not leave your skin anyway feeling tight.  And also drink as much water as you can on the flight to keep you and your skin as hydrated as possable.

The only problem with the Sephora products is that you cannot get them in Ireland, you can get it in the states and on the sephora french website but if you go onto www.sephora.com you can get a list of places to buy.  The products i have just listed are good for normal to combination skin with some dehydration.

Tip Of The Day

FIND YOUR SHADE

To find a foundation that matches your complexion, test the color on your neck. Your skin tone is more uniform there than it is on your face, so you'll wind up with a shade that's just right. You'll also avoid that dreaded demarcation along the jawline.Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation has a wide range of shades to choose from.

Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair Review

The reason i've decided to do a peice on a product i hav'nt tried out yet is because ive heard about it recently and i thought id give you heads up on it for people that have tried every balm on earth and nothing is working, this is apparently fantastic. Beats the pants off all other Lip Balms and the only one that works. Cannot be bought in Ireland for some reason or maybe it can and i can't find it if someone does let me know, but i did find it on ebay http://www.ebay.ie/itm/AQUAPHOR-LIP-REPAIR-10ml-/400161607197#ht_5229wt_902 at €5.95, if you want to buy it or if you know anyone coming over from the states to bring a crate load home with them.  This is how its described.

Soothing Sore Muscles

No pain, no gain! Beauties, we know many of you vowed to get back into shape in 2012. If you haven’t worked out in ages, your muscles will ache as your body re-acclimates to daily exercise. There are plenty of easy methods to relieve cramps, soreness, and that next-day ouch you feel. Ice and ibuprofen (i.e. Nurofen) will help calm inflammation and a bath with Epsom salts will increase bloodflow and promote healing. But one of the best ways to get instant relief is to massage a warming product on the area that hurts. The naturally calming ingredients penetrate deep down to help loosen balled up muscles and prevent them from tightening up overnight. I rounded up a few of our favorite au naturel soothers to make your fitness transition a little easier.

BAR:

Lush Sore Labours Massage Bar

This massage bar  includes cardamom oil and jasmine oil, which warms and relaxes stiff muscles. Apply immediately after your post-workout shower for relief from soreness. Bonus: The bar is made up of ultra-hydrating cocoa butter and shea butter so your skin will be soft too!

CREAM:

Ole Henriksen Muscle Comfort Lotion

Similar to the cult-classic Kathleen Lewis Stiff and Sore Muscle Massage Cream, this lotion is packed with a splendid blend of cramp-relieving ingredients that numb trouble spots. The cream includes peppermint, which spurs circulation, lavender oil, which heals, and seaweed extract which reduces fluid build up—especially around the ankles!

OIL:

Biologique Recherche Body Huile Jambes Lourdes

Legs feeling heavy? Take a load off! Put some pep back in your step with this luxe French oil . The mix includes cypress, camphor, sage, mint and rosemary essential oils, which invigorate your limbs and rev up micro-circulation.

You could also book in for a massage into your local Salon if you really wanted to treat yourself

The Right Red Lipstick For Your Skintone

A lot of women shy away from red lipstick, but anyone can wear it. The most important thing to consider when wearing red lipstick is picking the right shade. All reds are not created equal - finding the right one for you and wearing it properly will make all the difference.

If you have Fair Skin

Coral-y reds look most beautiful on you; they add a shot of color but aren’t overpowering.
Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick Fire and Ice.
This lipstick has been around since at least the 1950s, when Revlon threw a huge advertising campaign for it with such lines as “Would you streak your hair with platinum without consulting your husband?” The lipstick feels wonderful on—not too greasy or dry, just perfect. And the color? It’s a perfect coral red!

If you have Medium Skin

Anything from true red to pinky-cranberry shades will work well with your golden undertones
Shiseido 415, Shiseido is a great bet; it’s a bolder, more opaque formula, a true red.
 CoverGirl in Really Red
CoverGirl Continuous Color Lipstick in Really Red 575 has been described on blogs as a “bright and hot” red. It is indeed really red—if you layer it up.  —red pink.

If you have Dark Skin

Stick with deep, rich colors like burgundy or warm brick—superbright ones can seem too harsh.
With its vintage-inspired packaging, Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick in Exces de Rouge (a berry red shade)

5 Skin Essentials While Going Through Flu

I have been going through this for the last few days and it reminded me how dry and dehydrated your skin gets while sick in bed.  So here a few things i couldn't live without the last few days and honestly makes you feel a little bit better when you use them.

1. Kleenex Balsam Tissues:
Honestly a godsend if you use anything else be prepared to turn into Rudolph within a couple of hours.
2.Dermalogica Renewal Lip Complex:
Still loving this product and came in very handy. When your nose is blocked at night and your asleep we tend to breath through our mouth therefore making our lips very dry if you slather on a pile of lip balm before going to sleep you'll have some chance of been able to smile in the morning. I have also done a review on this on the blog recently.
3.Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream:
Your skin doesn't get the same love and care when your sick and with all the nose blowing your face can get very dry and dehydrated so keep using moisturiser twice a day. I love Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream as its a light weight moisturiser that leaves your skin smooth and well hydrated.
4.Liquid:
Very Essential, whether its water or lots of hot drinks get it into you. Also keeps your skin hydrated
5: Arbonne Hand Cream:
Back again to my hand cream but everything feels better when your skin isn't dry. With all the nose blowing and hand washing your hands will dry out.  I've done a review on this hand cream already have a look through the blog and you'll find it.

Anyway hope this gives some little comfort to any other sick people out there and get well soon
